The blooms are coming, the blooms are coming!

Get ready; we will be open and available for picking anytime after June 25th and we are currently offering an early season (6-25 to 7-4) special of $1 off each bucket. AND when you like our Half Moon Blooms Facebook page you can get a $1 off you first bucket. That means you could get a whole bucket of flowers for just $3 bucks! You just can’t beat that deal!
Yes, that is right we are happy to announce that we FINALLY have flowers ready for the picking. The selection is still somewhat limited compared to what we should have later in the summer. However, if you like white daisies, purple bachelors buttons, and lovely grape colored lupines, and a few pink things here and there, now is the time to come out for a visit!

Also, we are now regulars at the Montford Farmers Market starting today, on Monroe just off of 395, from 4-7pm. This week you can pick up a premade bouquet in addition to a few marigolds, petunias and impaitients. Come visit us each Thursday, just look for the Paul’s wood things and Half Moon Blooms Booth.

Hope to see you soon and thank you to the vistitors that came to see us at the Market today!

A few pictures

Here are a few pictures from last summer. I cannot wait to have new pictures from this coming summer. I am so glad that we have been getting nicer weather the last few weeks but at this point I will take anything other than rain or snow!
I hope you enjoy the pictures. To see more find our Half Moon Blooms U-Pick Garden page on Facebook! If we get 25 people to "like" our Facebook page we can get our own user name.

Spring... maybe?

Mother Nature is having trouble making up her mind this year when it comes to the weather!
Despite the cool and wet weather the garden is still growing well, just a bit slow. Many perennials are filling out nicely and getting ready to bud for early summer blooms. In our shop we are starting many annual seedlings under grow lights. They will be transferred into the garden once they are a little bigger and when we receive warmer temperatures. At that time we will also direct seed other varieties straight into the ground. Currently in bloom are two varieties of daffodils. There should have been tulips too but unfortunately they were all eaten by deer. If you would like to come out and pick daffodils please contact us first. Since we have just a few types of flowers we are only “open” by request. We hope that you are enjoying your sunny spring days, sparse as they may be, and will keep Half Moon Blooms in mind as summer nears!
