Waking up from Hibernation!

Not only is the garden starting to wake up from a long winter hibernation for the summer season but I am too! I am getting so eager for summer and visitors coming to pick flowers. For those that don’t know me personally, you may not know that we welcomed a wonderful little bundle, Jayney Joy to our life this winter. Her birth February 7th may explain why you have not seen many postings to our blog or Facebook for Half Moon Blooms.

Although we are not fully set up just yet, we have had some friends of the garden come out for an early season preview and to take some spring perennial blooms home with them! Right now we have lupines, daisies and bachelors buttons blooming. After the grey skies and brown mud in late winter, I am always thrilled at the brightness of a simple white daisy or brilliant purple lupine!

The only thing that makes me happier in the garden than the flowers themselves is when I see others getting excited about the flowers and making plans to come out and pick! We have already been able to send flowers with one friend for a graduation party; have had requests to host a ladies group for an afternoon outing and have been asked to do for flowers for several weddings this summer too! All of these things are going to be so much fun!

Here are a few pictures to get you energized for summer flowers! Don’t forget to check back for updates and featured deals both on our blog and Facebook.  I hope all of you reading this are doing great and staying out of the rain we have had this spring. I am looking forward to seeing you in the garden soon!

These made my house so cheery

Our green house with plants for our yard and the garden!

Looking at this color it is hard to believe they just get bigger and brighter!

My craft house is all decked out for summer too. I have a good feeling that Miss JJ and I will be spending a lot of time here!

This is how we work in the garden now ;)

Jayney loves hanging out on the awesome new garden bench her daddy built last week!
